have been going to work daily so far and it kinda sucks when every shoe i wear gives me blisters, except for sneakers and slippers. bah.

so i went to get this today,

i'm hoping it'll bring good news to my wallet so i wont have to spend much more on getting plasters! rawr! haha. and im quite elated that its going at $11.80, a $2 off the usual price from Watsons!

its the one on the extreme right and is made in the UK. this was cheaper at $5.95 (no offer) and so far the effect's pretty good cos it kinda relaxes your feet and all.

and then i went to the Converse warehouse sale the other day. ok i once said to myself that i'd never wear converse shoes but then again, a sale kinda entices everyone huh. haha and the sale was really good! i bought 3 pairs of shoes in the end and Dad got a pair, all for $110 only! which averages $27.50 for a pair! thats like.... cheap man! haha.

got myself a hi-top which i forgot the name so i cant search for the picture (too lazy to upload pics through cam), a (Product) Red CT Red Ox which i got in a size bigger (desperate for good buys la) cos it was like... good value for money! haha. and another Everlast slip-on which freakingly gave me blisters.

and the balls of my feet kinda hurt too. think i stepped on the clutch too hard the other day. darn manual driving kinda sucks when you gotta keep stepping on the clutch before you accelerate and then slowly let go and all. argh! but its kinda fun so i cant wait till my next prac on Mon! haha oops i digressed.

so anyhow, i got this

its selling for €73.81 (walao!) on sneakersnstuff but i doubt its still worth that much la. haha. i saw it at usual shops for about $80 when it was first out but i got this for only $39.90! yay.

cant find pictures for the others. alright so we resigned from the telemarketing job and got another part time one doing surveys and traffic counting at...

(and a few weeks/days since the snow storm started there) i hope i still got trivial details fresh in my mind! gotta dig em up. suddenly old com hasn't been serving faithfully and has been crashing on me! darn.

anw, i'm in the midst of doing my China pictures/travelogue now! yay i've got lots of nice nice picturesque stuff to share! muahahaha.

today's my 2nd driving prac. and erm, i'm finally allowed to start off and drive in the circuit! such a cool thing la! hahah even though i'm only on 1st gear and going in circles and doing merely right turns, its still sucha wonderful experience! ahaha i cant wait to get upgraded!

this is way too cute. :)

am a proud owner of this new babe;

pretty much happy with the phone! cos it has a 5mp camera! except for the lousy fact that it cant be compared to Sony Ericsson's visual qualities... (eg themes, more colours etc) other than that i think Samsung wins down in its design. =D elegant and classy!

currently trying to get employed. nyahahah. and then erms busy with the bumming around and i'm officially starting my driving lessons tmr! rawr.

i'm kinda scared actually. used to get all excited with the go-karts at escape and phuket etc... now, its the real thing! although its in the circuit... its still in a real car! AH!

ahahah. okay i shall be brave. many firsts will still come my way!

bleah. alright shall read up some car stuff. haha.

hmmmmm 4:11 PM

been bumming around the past few days except for a small trip down to Orchard yest with Mum. other than that i guess its spring cleaning time and erm studying time! yahhh hahaha

for my basic theory 1! (yeah im kinda slow)

going for my first prac next tues! kinda excited and hopefully i dont start stalling the car midway. singapore is getting seriously hot. its like max at 32 deg now. oh gosh, just let me melt and flow into the Pacific Ocean or something. hopefully it'll lead me to the Yangtze River and i'll be back in China! like they say 落葉歸根 you know! haha.

i seriously miss China. a major pull factor being the wonderful comfortable climate (except for the reason that i caught a cold when running from 城隍廟 Chenghuangmiao back to the hotel 10mins away at like some 5deg, wearing just jeans, those bazhang jacket and one layer underneath)... but it was so foggy there the previous week! and so far the beginning of 2008 has seen China welcoming so many 明星s! haha last week F4 were in 南京 just a few days after i left! and on Sun the 13th, when i was back, Shanghai held their 2nd dunno-what awards ceremony! my local guide for Shanghai had a friend working at the tv station and the friend actually asked her previously to help source for a hotel for Rain! oh man! but he wanted to bring like 20 personnel with him so the tv station couldn't afford to accommodate THAT many people at a 5-6* hotel. :( so that weekend lots of people were in Shanghai, 小豬、Jay、S.H.E、潘瑋柏、Jolin etc... :( :( :(

China pictures and travelogue once again are up on my to-do list! rawr. gotta wait for dumb photoshop to load slowly... ok perhaps its not photoshop's fault. its vista's laggy system. :(

going for first job interview tmr! i hope it goes successful...

全世界都在說中國話~ 2:01 PM

and so i'm back from China, well mainly Shanghai. and some other provinces as well. been lethargic. still adjusting to the 30deg temperature difference (i'm totally melting already & most prob gotta nurse a flu soon! darn), and trying to unpack my 1k worth of shopping! okay thats quite 誇張 but accd to mum thats roughly how much each of us spent! haha. thats double the amount i spent in tw!

anw, Amazing Race's in Taiwan today! shall watch it tonight! so excited! haha.

went to Jolin's Shanghai auto on Sat. darn! 小豬's was on Sun 430pm and i was back at 6am alr! :( from a horribly turbulent ride (turbulence for about 25 mins straight!) and a super tired body. ah well. pictures i got from the net, since there were tons of people at Jolin's and she wasn't exactly friendly. :(

ok i shall try to erm. clear my stuff and then try to pack up my room! haha.

Korea Travelogue III 1:00 AM

its now 1am and i gotta leave at 730am for my flight. haha.

Day 6 - 16.12.07
yay the scenery outside the hotel was so pretty! breakfast was at this chinese restaurant cos it was too ex to eat in the hotel itself. haha.

after that we went to the Korean Ginseng Factory which was such a waste of time la... even though i saw pretty cute looking Ginsengs haha. and then we went to this Kimchi School to learn how to make Kimchi! this wasn't so bad cos we got to experience the feeling of how to make Kimchi! heheh! i got this pic of me with my apron but it looks dumb! haha!

and then i saw familiar faces! 喬恩! ahha! :D i think this was while filming 冒險奇兵! haha. so cute. i wore the costumes too but it looks super hilarious so i decided not to throw my own face. haha!

sadly although i was anticipating my shopping time we had to go to this place called Namsam Folk Village first. which was like some ancient village theme park thingy. lol.

the lake froze la! it was soooo cold man! haha and everyone was like throwing stones onto the surface of the ice. lol!

so pretty right! haha :)

i tried to play this game but i sucked at it. the hole was too small to fit the arrows in la!

yeah and you see buildings like this... like from ancient Korean times. haha!

and we had Bibimbap for lunch! double yum!

(p.s there's supposed to be a Bibimbap after but i think it got lost. haha.)

Finally we get to go shopping! but for like 2 pathetic hrs only. omgosh i almost died la! 2 hrs of shopping! where got enough man! sigh. and we couldnt go back to Myeong Dong after dinner cos it closed at around 8pm! :( i really loved the place cos it reminded me of tw's night markets! love them to bits! though messy but i just love the feeling of them la! esp when you're shopping in such nice cool weather though its packed with crowds of people! people mountain people sea! haha. they had shops like Adidas, Converse etc. and i found a Sanrio shop! YAY i practically jumped for joy man! haha. spent close to 80sing there i think!

and then i regret not stepping into The Face Shop or other cosmetic outlets there cos everything there is like 50% less than in sg! sigh!! but there's no time once again! sian leh. :(

so i reluctantly bought some bags! really cheap at 16sing only! and other etc. poor dad didnt find anything due to the lack of time and hence less exploration! :( sob i wanna go back there badly again! i love the weather there la!

so dinner was some 炒年糕 thing! quite interesting! haha and its pretty spicy too! yummy! :)

and then went back to the hotel!
went to the convenience store again! not the same one but took a walk around the whole block and chatted with Martin and Michelle! got some ice cream and stuff. yay i just love ice cream during cold weather. it doesn't melt! and its like all cold inside out. haha.

then i played bridge with another 2 kids! lol...

Day 7 - 17.12.07
went to the Korean presidential palace in the morning. and our guide told us so much about the history and i almost fell asleep. =X haha.

then we went to this Duty Free Shop (C&C) selling cosmetics! got my Laneige cosmetics for like 50% off! hahah its half-priced there. and got new stuff from UGBang as well. yep. next was another food place where everyone got their seaweed or whatever food stuffs. haha! i wanted to buy this carton of 辛辣面 but dad said it'll go to waste. :(

our lunch menu was 硫磺鸭 (Sulphur Duck)! damn cool! the soup was super duper tasty la! kept asking for refill! really very shiok! haha its cos the duck eats the sulphur or something like that. yep. and 大長今 cooked it in the past. lol!

and then we went to this Amethyst Factory before we said bye to Seoul and hi to Singapore. haha and along the way i saw some people rallying for politicians... cool stuff.

ah okay im done! pretty quick one though. hope i didn't miss anything :( rawr tired! haha i hope Shanghai will be another wonderful experience! and maybe i can do more shopping too! :) alright see ya'll on the 13th!

Korea Travelogue II 9:20 PM

Day 3 - 13.12.07 (cont'd)
so after taking the cable car and all we went to Top of the Top for some coffee and hot chocolate and photo-taking. haha yeah pretty time wasting. oh, i forgot, pictures taken outside the hotel, and at Top of the Top.

and it was so freaking cold with the wind blowing even though there was hot chocolate to warm up our hands! haha... after that we proceeded to get our boots and ski gear. pretty long queue cos the ski school was operating and there were children all over the place returning and borrowing gear. haha. then our tour guide, Andy, gave us a crash course on how to turn, brake and etc, on how to ski. but it kinda sucked cos all of us were still clueless after that. haha. damn sian. so we didn't have the guts to go down the slope without properly knowing how to brake! so it was just sliding on the snow and just playing around, really amateur skiing. hah!

yep so you can see everyone just sliding on top of the snow and not exactly skiing. haha.

and it was really tiring on your shins cos you kept having to bend forward to maintain your balance. and the skis were exactly very short. and they were of metal blades! which made it even harder to get up after you fall on your butt. cos they're freaking heavy and make you very rigid and immobile. sigh. unlike this travel show i watched, where they went skiing in China. the skis were of plastic? something like that. haha. so its easier to get up after you fall. so i guess the quality was there but a horrific experience for beginners like us.

it was quite irritating to get up once you fell cos you had to half squat with your boots stuck to the blades and then push yourself up with your arm strength. which was freaking hard la. so the hard way was to just use your poles to remove your skis. haha and then re-put on your skis again. so lame man. oh well. so we played around in the snow, while i slid onto a freaking block of ice, (yeah most was still artificial snow since it hadn't been snowing that heavily yet) and almost crashed into this igloo by the side. rawr.

and then i saw this guy with a really cool ski suit. haha.

and breaks in between were usual. haha and it was really cold esp when the wind was blowing. haha, as shown above. had some hotdogs for lunch and then it was back to 'sliding' on the snow. lol.

we stopped at around 4 cos the ski place closed at 4 to redo the area and prepare it for the night ski-ers. haha. went for dinner at around the same place as the prev night, steamboat again. haha. vege steamboat. rawr! then back to the hotel for a night's rest.

Day 4 - 14.12.07
we left the hotel pretty early cos we were heading back towards Seoul for the rest of the journey. which was about a 4 hour journey. sigh bus rides again. stopped by this cute food place nearing Mt. Sorak which was next on the itinerary. oh ya. haha i got it wrong. it snowed on the 13th night and not 12th. lol! see i've got evidence! snow on the rooftop! so pretty. =)

lunch for the day was seafood steamboat! haha the crab was pretty nice but it was kinda skinny. :( like no meat at all. lol.

after that we headed down to Mt. Sorak National Park, which i had recollections of going when i was in p3. haha.

we took this gondola to the top of the mountain and the freaking wind was super strong la! haha so funny. they were playing "You Raise Me Up" by Westlife when we were inside the gondola. and everyone was like. eh. quite ironic huh. haha! and it was so windy that when we were almost reaching the top the gondola was shaking sideways quite vigorously! argh! haha.

see the sign! even though it was 6 deg inside, i think with the wind it'd be negative something la! super cold!

poor Julia (our tour photographer-cum-helper) got her cap blown off by the wind! and it was so blardy strong that we were so unstable we had to crouch low to prevent ourselves from tumbling down man! sadly i didn't dare to climb up to the peak cos it was too windy. after looking at the pretty scenery and taking pictures we went back down to see the largest Buddha in Asia (i think).

and i had this barbequed chicken thing which was so nice but the chili was so hot i think my mouth burned till we got back to the hotel. haha.

went to Sorak Hanwha Resort for our night's stay. its this condominium-style room which i thought was quite cool.

haha gave up going to Sorak Waterpia cos we went there 10 years ago and it was much more of a kiddy place unless you're a fan of hot springs. haha the other teenagers in the group didn't go as well. lol! after that we had dinner which was Barbequed Pork! lol.

yep that was all and then it was back to the hotel. where i cooked instant noodles! the 辛辣面! haha. really very nice. it tastes diff from the ones sold in sg! haha. yep and then i watched my usual dose of Korean ent. shows! haha.

Day 5 - 15.12.07
today we set off from Sorak Hanwha Resort further back to Seoul and then to Everland! On the way there we stopped at this 38th Parallel Rest Station which was so freaking cool! esp if you're a historian of some sort. haha! anw, its the old parallel which cut the North and the South exactly horizontally. but the new divide is kinda diagonal after the Korean War.

yep after that we were back on the road and then to Yeoju Premium Outlets. it snowed on the expressway before that but i was sleeping! and we couldn't stop! so sad la.

like heavy snow pelting on the bus kind! so cool! anw. shouldn't have listened to our tour guide cos he said the stuff at YPO were really ex due to import taxes and all. but darn! Adidas etc had 60% sales la! i was like speed shopping can! in like 2o mins i bought this Adidas Jacket which was so chio! if i had more time to spend there i bet i'd buy like bags and shoes and other clothings alr la. sigh my regret.

haha and there was fresh snow along the pavement, we all started throwing snowballs at one another! so fun! lol :D

after that headed to Yong-In Everland which was opened by the Samsung boss. haha. the last time i was there when i was 8 years old i didn't dare sit many rides so i was anticipating exhilarating moments! haha. and of cos the nostalgic Safari bus ride!

We first took this cable car ride thing which went down to the bottom of the hill (it seemed to be situated atop a hill. haha) and then went for the Seal Show which was already about 2pm there.

the seals were super clever and cute la! although it wasn't THAT fascinating i enjoyed it quite alot. next up was the Safari ride which our whole tour group (38ppl) took 1 whole bus so our guide could tell us about the animals in chinese. haha. the bears were so near the bus! wahhh nostalgic memories! haha.

we saw black bears, ligers (lion+tiger), giraffes etc. i can hardly remember! haha too many animals up close already. then after that we were free to go ourselves. went around with Michelle and her mum.. haha took this snow sledding thing which just opened that day! so fun la! haha. but they spoke everything in Korean so it was kinda hard to know when to cue yourself to slide down the slope. haha. so i had to wait till others went first then i took off. haha!

after that went to queue for 2 rides with Michelle. both rollercoasters and definitely the most scariest of any i've ever taken yet. one was this one, it was called, Rolling X-Train. darn! 2 full 360 deg turns and double corkscrews la! walao~

hahah before going on the ride the both of us were shivering and all white la! we were like, shit shit... why did we even come up?! haha we were all panicking and then i was screaming like my life flashed before me la! hahaa its like those type of screaming when you scream too long and too loud until you realize that no sound is coming out from your mouth! haha. and the photo they took for us was freaking hilarious cos our eyes were closed and our mouths were wide open!

dad didn't come on cos he thought it was too strenuous for him! haha it was freaking scary la! and in my life i kinda said i wouldn't dare sit 360 deg rides.. but i guess the virgin experience was quite pleasant, i wouldn't mind trying more in the future! haha. its the feeling of anti-gravity and the blood rushing through your brain that scares me la! and the part where it starts to go up the slope was so scary cos my eyes were opened and i was like trying to admire the scenery but my heart was beating so fast! haha. but the exhilaration's like dope man! and i guess the loops pass in a few seconds so it wasn't too bad. just that you could feel yourself totally upside down and your chest slamming into the safety harness that makes you feel like you're gonna drop! haha. well actually, the Screaming Condor i took at 六福村 last year was probably just as scary. haha rated 9/10 on Coaster Force okay! dont play play!

next we sat another rollercoaster called the Eagle's Fortress (also rated 9/10 on Coaster Force)(omg the 3rd pic on the website looks damn scary now, cant be seen from the outside though, like blocked by trees). oops didn't get a proper picture cos it was covered by this deco facade thingy. haha. but its those suspended kind that travels at 85km/h up a 1013m mountain! ohman! haha the journey up was painful as well. so agonizing la! the sound and the sky like right before your eyes before you're gonna experience a sharp drop! haha.

so that practically ended my adventure cos we hardly had more time to explore the rest. but we sat the most thrill-seeking of all rides already. i was so proud of myself man! like first time sitting alone! i felt so brave! haha! :) cos usually grabbing dad was the norm. lol.

dinner was Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, i think they call it Samgetang?

damn delicious la! its like 10000 won per person (~16$) and they give you half a chicken! super nice la! but i didn't really fancy the ginseng wine though. haha it kinda warmed us up in the cold night though! after that went for the Bboy Korea Show!

Bboy Korea showcased the best Bboying Korean talents la! i wasn't sure if i saw the best Poppin guy performing but anyhow it got Dwayne envious. haha! and the lead dancer was quite cute! lol! and then i saw something very cute. haha.

yep so it was back to the hotel again after that and we checked into Coex-Intercontinental Seoul! Super high class man! haha. went out with Michelle and Martin after that to go to the convenience store for more grocery shopping! haha. :)

alrighty. shall try to finish up my draft for the remaining days in Korea before i leave for Shanghai tmr! oh man i took 2.5 hrs to type this, and many whole days doing up the pictures! argh.
